The SkillsKit has previously awarded students with 1 ASDAN credit. This has been based on completion of 6 modules (6 hours of activity). The SkillsKit has recently been enhanced with extra activities, which gives students the opportunity to receive 2 credits towards an ASDAN certificate, instead of just 1. To be awarded with the 2 credits, pupils will need to complete all of the extension activities and complete a total of 30 hours activity for the course (The extension activities add 4 hours to each of the 6 individual modules). All work produced to complete the extension activities should be included in the candidates CoPE evidence file.

The Health & Safety SkillsKit has been designed to fit within Module 7, Section B of the COPE Booklet. SkillsKit + Extension activities: 2 credits under 7B in the Gold Award 2 credits under any 2 of 6C, 7C or 8C in the COPE 1 & 2 booklet (this booklet only allows candidates to claim chunks of time as 1 credit) Half an old credit under section 12 (Free Option) in the FE Level 1 Award
